Broto with Humayun Khan's "Between Worlds" band - playing at the
Festival d'Essaouira Ganoua Musiques du Monde, Morocco
The 2 shows were on the 24th and 26th of June 2011 in Essouira on the northern coast of Africa in Morocco. Broto's recollection is that "...it was lovely visiting the Arab world and seeing the change firsthand. While the recent North Africa upheavals countries like Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Syria and Libya are still in process, they've already achieved their revolutions. Now what they need is a revolution of the mind. The music was good with Trilok Gurtu, Ari Hoenig, Salif Keita and of course the jam with the Ganoua singers and especially the great Hamid El Kasri."
